The Curriculum Is OutstandingIn Year 9, students follow a common curriculum which is broad and balanced and meets the requirements of the National Curriculum and current legislation. At Key Stage 4 students follow a core curriculum comprising English, Mathematics, Science, Physical Education, Religious Studies and Personal, Social and Health Education. In addition, students choose four option subjects within the curriculum areas of Humanities, Expressive Arts, Science, Business & Technology, Modern Foreign Languages and Life Skills. Alternative curriculum models are available to address the needs of some students, including attendance at West Suffolk College and extended work related learning placements. Students with Special Educational Needs have well planned individual support. Very able students have additional opportunities through the Gifted and Talented dimension of Training School Status. Students who choose to attend our fully comprehensive Sixth Form have access to more than 30 different courses, catering for a broad range of interests, abilities and learning styles.
